Finally, the weatherman is promising us proper Shrovetide weather, so we invite everyone to the castle ramparts for the family day “Shrovetide at Kuressaare Castle”.
The fun starts on February 11th at 11:00 and ends at 14:00.
WHAT’S ON:
- We will have a linen slide competition and test who has the longest linen plants this year.
- We will make masks from pig’s trotters and other fun materials.
- We will drive pigs into the pen and play other Shrovetide games.
- We will talk about Shrovetide traditions.
A pop-up cafe will also be set up where we will offer:
- Shrovetide buns that can be decorated to your own taste.
- Pea soup, the kind that makes your chin greasy.
- Hot tea and certainly something else.
The event is FREE, but we recommend bringing some cash so you can treat yourself at our cafe.
